Financial planning
Financial planning sets out where the business stands, where it intends to go, and the assumptions that connect the two. A useful plan is one that can be read, questioned and updated.
Finance
Six areas of financial thinking, each aimed at making a business decision clearer and better informed.
01/Areas of finance
Each area describes a kind of question, not a product.
Financial planning sets out where the business stands, where it intends to go, and the assumptions that connect the two. A useful plan is one that can be read, questioned and updated.
A business can be profitable and still run short of cash. Cash flow work focuses on timing: when receipts arrive, when payments fall due, and how much room exists between them.
Capital planning considers what the business needs to operate and to invest, where that capital could come from, and what each source would ask of the business in return.
Where outside funding is being considered, the work is to understand the purpose, the capacity to service it, and the alternatives. Credvista can help a business prepare for and think through these conversations.
No funding, approval, rate or term is promised or implied. Decisions rest with the relevant lender or institution.
Analysis turns existing figures into something a decision-maker can use: trends, cost structure and comparisons, together with a candid note on the quality of the data behind them.
Long-term planning asks how today’s decisions shape the options available later, and keeps short-term pressures in proportion to longer-term intentions.
02/Business view
Finance rarely sits alone. Select an area to see how it relates to the rest of the business.
